Second Thoughts

Having talked her into a modest direction, you went with her to the closet and helped to pick an outfit. It didn’t have to be so conservative that it would be frumpy. Still, it was the way that she would have dressed to the meetup if she actually did just want to hang out.

Kaori normally wore a casual, geeky style. You picked out items that she wore frequently. A comfortable Star Wars T-shirt, a pair of faded jeans, and comfortable sneakers. You also suggested a light jacket, but she reminded you how uncomfortable it would be in the summer heat.

Kaori listened to your suggestions with a slight frown. She didn’t quite understand your rationale, but she wasn’t predisposed to argue. She did, however, add one little touch of her own. Her favorite black lace choker.

You sat on the bed watching her try it all on. She was pouting and looking into the mirror, face tinged with uncertainty. When she turned back to you, she was smiling again and she gave you a wave. You quickly waved back at her, but when she turned back to the mirror you were frowning too.

Deep down, you knew your true motives, even if she might only suspect them. Maybe it would all be better if he turned her down. If you’d proven to her that you weren’t holding her back, sexually, without her having to…you know…actually do it. You weren’t about to actually sabotage the date. That would be too cruel, not to mention the risk it would hurt your relationship.

Still, wouldn’t it be so much easier if your wife asked to sleep with him, but he said no?

Ultimately though, you doubted this would change anything. Your wife had picked him because he’d clearly shown interest in her in the past. Wether she came to the meetup in sneaker or in high heels, he was probably going to take her back and fuck her. You weren’t really changing anything.

He was going to fuck her. That fact was obvious. One way or another, you were going to have to live with it.
