Second Half

The third quarter was a different tale. The Panthers 10-3 lead was cut back down to 13-10. The crowd started to become more involved as the Eagles, led by their captain Danny Andrews, stormed their way back in the game.

Quarterback Bryce Walker had the Eagles on the board immediately in the fourth quarter with the first touchdown. The Eagles now led 17-13,

Mark stood amongst his peers who were going ballistic as the Eagles were about to run right over the top of their opponents.

“FINISH THEM OFF WALKER!”

“COME ON EAGLES!”

“OI NUMBER 15! YOU ARE WEAK AS PISS!”

Mark remained quiet, clapping for scores. He just didn’t have the same passion as so many others on campus did have.

At full time, the final scores were 23-13, the Eagles keeping the Panthers scoreless in the last quarter. The entire home crowd were going ballistic, hugging and yelling. It was just the opening match but the passion was spilling from the stands.

While Mark made his way to the exit amongst the sea of red, he was tapped on the shoulder.
