Who are you? What about you has changed?

Sean Fitzpatrick (22, about to change his life)

Chapter 3 by Awake127

Sean was beat, he laid on his sleeper couch ready for it all to be over. Just a month ago life was going great; he had graduated college, he was about to propose, and he just got a promotion at work. That's when it all went to shit.

Suddenly he found out his girlfriend was cheating, for a while. He made a huge mistake and lost a big contract for his work causing him to lose his job. He had to move back in with his mom and sisters, not that they had space for him. There wasn’t a room for Sean anymore in the 3 bedroom apartment so he had to sleep on a couch. And all he could think about was how he had a mountain of student loan debt to pay off. He was never going to get out of this hole.

Sean looked at himself in the mirror, he wasn’t a catch. He was skinny, short (5’4”), and his hair was unkept and he couldn’t grow anything but any patchy facial hair. His sister also said his style wasn’t great, basketball shorts and a t-shirt doesn’t really wow the ladies. Not to mention he wasn’t really packing much down under. Sean was a loser and he knew it now more than ever. He was never going to get out of this rut.

He received a text from his mom:

Mom

Any luck on finding a job?

Sean

None

Mom

Just keep submitting applications, I’m sure you’ll find something.

Sean

I know, mom

Mom

BTW can you pick up a prescription from the pharmacy for me

Sean

Yeah sure mom

That was enough for Sean to get up, he knew his mom was trying to just get him out of the room. Getting up he put on a hoodie and some sandals and made his way out of the apartment he now shared with his mom and sisters. The pharmacy was just a couple blocks away, luckily the city was very walkable and Sean could get around with public transportation.

Moving down the street Sean came up to a crosswalk, as he saw an old man walking by. Sean didn’t know if the man was blind or had dementia but he watched the man just walk into the busy street.

“Hey! There are cars coming!” Sean yelled “Hey!”

The man kept walking oblivious to his surroundings. Then Sean saw it, the truck barreling down the street with no possibility of stopping in time. He didn’t know why he did it, maybe he had nothing left to lose. But Sean made a decision, but he ran into the street pushing the old man out of the way, just as the truck tried to slam on its brakes. The man falls out of the way as Sean was not so lucky, the last thing he saw was the truck's hood right in front of his face.

All Sean saw was black, then stars, then white. And all of the sudden Sean was in empty space, just white all around everything except him.

“That was quite unexpected of you Sean” A disembodied voice calls out to him from the void, feminine and warm almost motherly it sounded like.

“Where am I?” Sean searched aimlessly in the void trying to put a face to the voice.

A small chuckle could be heard, “You know I expected you to let that old man die.”

“Why is that funny?” Sean asks, still discombobulated.

“The man was destined to die today, you were not supposed to save him. He lived a life of hatred and was to be punished, and yet he was saved by a mortal I had written off as a coward.”

Sean let that soak in, he was a coward that was supposed to let that man die, it didn’t sit right with him, “So I’m being punished for saving the man?”

Another laugh could be heard from the deity, “No, the opposite actually.”

“The opposite?” Sean raised an eyebrow.

“Yes the opposite, dear boy, you are to be rewarded.” She hums, “Now fret not, you might find this next bit disorientating.”

Sean gasped as he jumped up from his futon, his phone alarm blaring as he breathed heavily. He felt like he was just hit by a truck, no he was hit by a truck, or did he dream he was hit by a truck, he couldn’t figure it out.

Getting up he felt taller, much taller or was it that everything was smaller. He shook his head as he went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. Walking was weird, he felt like a newborn deer. Not knowing which way to place his feet, it felt like he had added weight. Scratching his chin his stubble felt fuller, not its normal patchiness.

Going to the bathroom it hit him, that he wasn’t himself. Looking in the mirror Sean saw his most ideal self. Much Taller (6’4”), very fit and athletic, and his face was just more angular with a fuller beard while still being his same self. Sean stumbled back as he saw the image before him, that wasn’t him.

“No,” he gasp as he leaned in closer to study his face, “It can’t be real”

Getting a quick idea, Sean checked his pants feeling what was now a massive bulge of his new cock. “Jesus Christ, this thing is like twice the size of my previously erect dick.” He said as he groped his flaccid package.

Sean then heard the front door open, “I’m home!” his mom yells as he stumbles out of the bathroom. How is he supposed to explain this?
