Science is an 'open belief system'

This is a quote you would often hear in the Jones household. The Jones practice waht many would call hard core Scientism. The family actively participates in protests against superstition and any thing that they don't consider scientific.

Your name is Ed short for Edison, and you were named after the guy you hate him and most things scientific because how your family express their beliefs this has cost you your social life, expect for the stubborn bullness when arguing about science you are from a good home with your mother, father, and two older sisters, Marie and Nicole. Nicole is the eldest and is a doctor, while Marie is in college but still lives at home and torments you for being neutral.

As religious and fanatic as your parents are, there is no other word to describe them. You've been going against them even debating publicly against them. With the pen to paper, you try to decide what you are going to write down when you hear your sister Marie calling you.
