Saying goodbye.

We said goodbye under the shattered execution pole. Saying that I found that highly ironic would be an understatement. Not that I had much to add to the scene, even though I had slept with both Rukia and Orihime I didn’t feel particular strong about either of them. So there whole exchange kind of glossed over me.

Instead I focused on Soifon who was talking to Yoruichi in the background. It wasn’t in my intentions to be part of that, also I already knew what Soifon was doing from earlier today. Eventually the Senakimon opened and the Ryoka went on their way.

With Yoruichi gone Soifon trotted back to me, seeming a little bit sad. “Come with me.” She said and I did. “So, about later, where should we meet?” Luckily I had made plans before the Ryoka invasion. “Well, I had a reservation made, but I guess the date doesn’t match.” Soifon looked at me and raised an eyebrow, “You know which ranks we have right? What makes you think we won’t get a place anywhere?”

Good point. “Well then. How about 15 o’clock in front of the Eagle of Sea?” Soifon thought about it for a second and then nodded. “Yeah, that is enough time to get there from the Kuchiki manor.” Before I could ask what the hell she wanted to do at the Kuchiki manor she was gone.

Left to my own devices I walked back to the group and turned to Ikkaku. “Let me stay at your place for a couple of hours.” I said, “Why? You wanna fight again?” he asked, almost happy. “No, the Gotei 11 grounds only are conveniently close, also I need something to do for a couple of hours.”

“Sounds like fighting is still in the realms of possibility.” He said and waved Yumichika over. I sighed, “Whatever, as long as I don’t have to sit on my ass for hours.”

Much to my surprise Ikkaku didn’t actually made me fight him once we had arrived back at the Gotei 11 grounds. He either understood my situation or was tired anyway the three of us just talked about whatever. We got into a heated debate when I asked him why he didn’t show up to the vice-captain meeting.

When he told me he was just the third seat apparently asking him if he can’t do the job of a kid wasn’t what he wanted to hear.

This way I managed to kill the better part of 5 hours before I went on my way.
