Say goodbye and decode a message

"Go clean up Miss Adamson," you tell her, stroking her hair. "Then go to your room and sober up."

"You're not...not going to paddle...me are you Sir? Not any...after...that..." she gasps her breasts heaving her face a hot mess.

"We'll talk about it later. Right now you need to clean up and sober up."

She nods, wiping her face with the back of her hand and looking at you with wary eyes before smiling nervously. She buttons her shirt and stands, smoothing her skirt before turning to the door. She gives you a little wave with her fingers before leaving and shutting it behind her.

Shaking your head, you straighten your clothes, marvelling at the brazen sexuality of some of the students at Pink Rose and at your own increasing acceptance of it. You wonder if your old commanding officer had any idea of the extent of this behaviour when he tagged you for the position of Dean.

Remembering the note you found in Chanel's room, you pull it and the book out of your pocket. Following Donna Considine's instructions, that the first number in the sequence refers to a page, and the second a word on that page, you take a crack at decoding the message. It takes you a few minutes of flipping back and forth in the book, but in the end you read a cryptic message.

"Conclave tonight. Acolyte selection postponed. Confessions and reprimands as necessary. Observance of Sappho."

You read the message over, frowning to yourself, wondering what the Hell it might mean.
