Saturday Morning Cartoons

Dressed in nothing but his shirt and diaper, he ran to the kitchen and fished through the cabinets.

"Ah hah!"

He found his personal box of Froot Loops with Marshmallows and filled a bowl with it. He basked in its fruity smell before he added milk and grabbed a pre-poured baby-bottle full of orange juice. Normally his parents kept Jim on a dietary regiment, fixing him oatmeal or dad's special omelet before school, but like with everything else on Saturdays, it was his cheat day, and cheat days equaled fruity cereals!

His dad once told him that back when he was his age, kids would binge cartoons Saturday morning. Jim's house didn't have cable or satellite. No one in his neighborhood did. In fact, who did anywhere? To simulate the experience, Jim would binge something off of Netflix Kids or HBO Max or, if he was really bored or if the internet went out, he would find something from his dad's nostalgia DVD-collection. He's binged his dad's Ninja Turtles DVDs twice already, and he got in trouble when he watched the Toxic Avenger quadrilogy without their supervision. He saw Toxic Crusaders and didn't get in trouble. How was he supposed to know he would get in trouble watching the movies it was based off of?
