Chapter 45 by N1ghtshade N1ghtshade

Is she satisfied or does she continue?

Satisfied.

An owl landed on the windowsill outside Cassandra's room. Getting up from the bed and letting it in, she found it's attached letter. Reaching for the lamp and opening the letter, it read:

TO: Ms. Cassandra Black.

Room 6. Leaky Cauldron, 1 Diagon Alley, Charing Cross Road, London.

FROM: Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, O.M. (First Class), Grand Sorc., D. Wiz., X.J. (sorc.), S. of Mag.Q., Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Dear Ms. Black,

I apologize for the late notice regarding your transfer to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I am aware that you have already purchased the necessary supplies for the school year. Please board the Hogwarts Express departing from Platform 9 and 3/4 at King's Cross Station by no later than 11:00 AM using the ticket found enclosed. Should you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to your head of house, Severus Snape or to deputy headmaster Minerva McGonagall, whom have been informed of the particulars of your transfer.

Should you run into any difficulty, respond immediately.

Sincerely, Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, O.M. (First Class), Grand Sorc., D. Wiz., X.J. (sorc.), S. of Mag.Q.

Reading through the letter multiple times, Dumbledore had expertly hid a message in a message. He had created a legitimate identity, as well as told her exactly who to trust with her "true" history, all while using the tone that every other school letter used. The fact that Dumbledore trusted Snape to be Cassandra's guide both spoke to his trust of Snape, and how little he cared for Snape's rivalry with Harry. Cassandra unfortunately knew she couldn't complain now, especially with her choice of house. Reaching to turn off the lamp, (it felt weird not to have to sneak around in the night) she glances at the bedside clock.

The Time?
