Sarah reminds you that there's a meeting

As the girls continued to chatter around you, complimenting your look and asking questions, Sarah gently touched your arm to get your attention.

"Remember, there’s a meeting with Lisa Tran and her assistant in about 20 minutes," she reminded you, her tone slightly more serious. "It’s probably a good idea to apply some makeup. We want to make a good impression."

The suggestion made your heart race all over again. You had already gone this far, but the thought of applying makeup felt like another step into unfamiliar territory. The girls around you seemed to sense your hesitation, and one of them offered, "I can help you with that if you’d like. It’ll be quick, I promise."

Sarah smiled reassuringly. "You’ve come this far, Alex. A little makeup will complete the look, and you’ll do great in the meeting."

With a deep breath, you nodded. "Okay, let’s do it," you said, resigning to your fate.
