What does Drake do?
Sarah's perspective.
It was a cliche, but her wedding day really was the happiest day of Sarah's life.
There had been some chaos, of course - the florist was late and the photographer forgot to bring extra film. One of the flower girls had a tantrum right before the ceremony began and the violinist was consistently flat throughout. But it was the beginning of a new life in so many ways!
Married life definitely suited Davis. He had always been charming and kind, but it seemed to take on a new intensity after the wedding. His debonair charisma had transformed overnight into a doting, almost childlike affection. His smiles were genuine and his dry chuckle had become a hearty laugh.
Sitting by the pool, she rubbed her belly and thought about the future. She was just over a month into pregnancy and couldn't be more excited. Davis actually whooped with joy when she told him (before their wedding, she couldn't have imagined him whooping). He embraced her and lifted her into the air.
"Let's name her Natasha," he whispered through a broad smile. His eyes were watery with joyous tears.
"Slow down, hon! We don't even know if it's a boy or girl yet!"
He laughed and told her he was sure it was a girl. When she asked why he was so set on the name, his smile faltered briefly.
"I just... I don't know. I feel a connection to that name." His face brightened again. "It seems like the perfect name for a brand-new person! Honey, we're gonna make a little person!"
He embraced her again and held her tight. In that moment, Sarah didn't ever want Davis to let her go. She wished she could stay here, being held by the man she loved, until the end of time.
