Sanam Hosseini (F, Muslim, outspoken)

Sanam is one of several Muslim students at the school, and while she's very proud of her religion she's also an outspoken activist for the rights of girls and women. She's always organizing charity drives and protests about it. Every presentation she has to give for every class incorporates the eternal quest for freedom from oppression. Sanam is well liked, even if some students think she can be a bit much at times.

She's unsure if she wants to go to prom. After all, all traditional events are essentially heteronormative and rooted in exploitation. But then again, you're only in high school once.
