Which of The Next Generation Should we Follow?
San
Train, sleep, eat, train. Train, sleep, eat, train. Train, sleep, eat, train. For San, it was the same thing day in, and day out. Nothing changed, just the faces. She worked hard, she trained harder. For San, life was hard, but that's what happens when your mother's an Earth Nation whore, your father's one of her countless clients, and you're not even a bender.
San had dedicated herself to training, and with her trusty metal fans, and the best teachers in the land, the only challenge San couldn't face with confidence was Princess Zuzu.
How San hated The Princess. She was privileged. She could fire bend. She was a great martial artist. She smelled of flowers and burning ash and was the most beautiful woman San had ever known. San would do anything and kill anyone if she knew The Princess would be with her for the rest of her days.
San was so conflicted. She had spent years training to defeat The Princess in battle, and just couldn't do it. She hated Zuzu, and wanted to have sex with her. San just didn't get it. How could she hate a girl she loved so much?!
"Hey!" Zuzu called out from across the training field "You going to attack or just stand there looking pretty all day?"
Snapped back to the here and know, San tried to retort with style. "I figured I'd let The Lady launch the first volley. After all, you're a princess and need to be treated with care."
"A warrior princess, I don't need favors San." Zuzu called back. San loved the idea of 'Warrior Princess Zuzu,' if only San could be conquered by the fair lady.
"What kind of warrior has no enemies? All know nations swear loyalty to your mother!" San deflected, secretly hoping she'd be an enemy 'nation' some day.
"You do make a good point, maybe we should just grab Kya and view the garden together, it's lovely this time of year." Was Zuzu asking her out? No, she wouldn't invite Kya along if she wanted to date San. Would she?
"If one of you doesn't launch a first volley soon, you'll both be facing ME in there!" Fire Empress Azula called out from the bleachers, sounding pissed.
San had just enough time to see the nervous look on Zuzu's face before The Princess launched a bolt of lightning at San. San deflected the bolt with her fans by channeling the charge through one fan, and into the ground with the other. Of course Zuzu would react like this. The only thing that scared Zuzu was Azula! Why couldn't Zuzu fear San that way? How sexy would Zuzu look scared?
San launched into an attack, ducking between the stationed rock pillars for cover as she tried to close the gap. Her heart raced, despite Zuzu's impressive ranged attacks, she was even more challenging up close. With lightning, no pun intended, reflexes and deadly accuracy she was no meek foe. Zuzu's greatest strengths where her evasive skills, she was hard to even hit, and her smell was super distracting!
Once in range, San found herself with the same old issues, she was stronger and better trained, but just couldn't hit The Princess of Burning Flowers. San tried desperately to land a blow, anywhere, but Zuzu's defenses were solid and her evasion even better.
Then it happened, Zuzu's eyes darted towards the stands. In their sparing matches, San spent a lot of time looking into Zuzu's eyes, but usually saw nothing back. This time she saw worry. Something was bothering Zuzu, and the fact she wasn't talking about it pissed San off. She slashed at Zuzu's chest and her fan cut clean through the burgundy dress and Zuzu's red silk bra bounced out into view.
San couldn't believe her luck, she just sat there stunned as Zuzu quickly shrieked and covered up. In the stands Kya, a Water-Tribe **** princess of some sort that worked in The Palace, cried out in alarm "Please, you need to stop the fight! I can get Zuzu a new dress!"
Empress Azula seemed to be amused "No, they keep going."
Ty Lee, San's adopted sister, called out "Yeah! That's it girl, show some skin!"
"You want me to show some skin! FINE!" Zuzu called out, clearly pissed. In the flash of an eye, The Princess blasted a fireball at San. They were too close, and San too distracted by the beautiful red bra to get out of the way. The fireball hit San in the chest, scorching her clothes, setting them on fire. Quick as she could San did her best to put out the flames, but in the end, just took off her uniform top, leaving herself slightly more exposed than The Princess. As San came to terms with what had happened, Zuzu called up into the stands "Now get your ass down here and I'll do the same to you!"
"Um, that's okay, I'm good." Ty Lee squeaked back, and ducked behind the fire shield of the stand.
"You burned my uniform!" was all San could stammer out.
"It's fine. I'll buy you a new one, besides..." Zuzu turned her full attention back to San "You look better topless anyways."
"Yeah she does!" Ty Lee called from the stand before Zuzu shot a fire blast her way.
San blushed, did Zuzu just compliment her? Even if she didn't mean to, it might have been worth being partially stripped in front of The Empress and her advisors, just to hear Zuzu say 'you look better topless.'
