Same Week, Different Shenanigans

"Oooh!" Toru said with a devious smirk that neither could see but certainly hear in her voice. "So, you got Deku to agree to that? It just doesn't seem like him."

"I know!" Mina said with a smile. "I was starting to think he couldn't take a hint, or worse, wasn't into women!"

"Well that last one is certainly false," Setsuna said smugly. All three girls had spent all the day in Mina's room on her bed, talking about her talks with Deku last night.

"I mean, he does clearly like Ochako," Mina spoke with a hint of discouragement.

Yeah, that's totally what I meant. Setsuna had thought of her alone time with him in the USJ and had dreamed about what would happen if they could have continued. "Concerned about how she'll react?"

"I was," Mina said, getting some excitement back into her voice. "So I texted her about it this morning. And she totally responded!" She then pulled up her text chain with her friend. When Mina asked if it would be okay to go out with Izuku, Ochako responded "Go for it!"

"Huh, you sure that was Ochako? I imagine her being, well, jealous? Protective?"

"Nope!" Mina had a wide grin as she corrected her invisible friend. "I even asked her in person, in the hall after lunch, and she said the same thing with a grin and a thumbs up. And she wasn't sulking or muttering afterward!"

"Damn! If she's jealous of you, she's doing a good job hiding it." Setsuna wiggled her way closer to Mina. "So, how ya gonna dress?"

"W-what?!" Mina's eyes shot open.

"You heard me! Whatcha gonna wear?"

Toru answered before Mina could really process the question. "Depends on how far she wants to go."

"Oooh, that's a good point!" Setsuna then placed herself right beside Mina. "Are you going for hugging? Kissing?" Setsuna then detached her hands, had them float in front of Mina's eyes, and had them squeeze the air. "Feeling?"

"Oh wait!" Toru had to stop herself from bouncing off the mattress. "The movie also matters!"

The hands in mid-air clapped together as Setsuna exclaimed "Ah-ha!" Bringing them back to her wrists, she wrapped an arm around her pink friend. "After all, if cuddles are your goal, a romantic comedy won't achieve nearly as much as a horror movie. A scared, innocent Mina trying to retreat to the arms of the biggest hero at U.A.!"

"Uh..." Mina tried her best to hide her hyper-ventilating as the conversation spiraled out of her control too quickly. "What if I just wanted to hang out with him?" Setsuna and Toru looked at her with unfettered disbelief (said look was assumed on Toru's part). "Wh-what?"

"Mina, you don't text a man yourself in a swimsuit just to crack a beer with peanuts," Setsuna said, "You totally want him."

There was silence in the room for a bit. Mina couldn't look her friends in the face, but eventually muttered "what do you recommend?"

Much to her surprise, they both spoke in unison "Depends on what you want."

Mina laid back in her bed. She had some fun flirting with him and was getting really annoyed he wouldn't take to it. But he eventually did, he did so with actual interest, was invested in their text messages, and now that he's near, she realized she's never put a moment's thought into what to do next. "I guess I don't know what I want. I'm kinda making this up as I go along."

"Dress casual then," her invisible friend said softly as she and Setsuna joined Mina by her sides laying down. "And also, just ask him what he wants!"

"Yeah!" Setsuna got close to Mina's ear and whispered, "If he doesn't care what you watch, then I say you have some fun with him."

"F-fun?"

"Not like that!" Setsuna playfully slapped her pink friend. "Unless he suggests it. But I mean, go for the spooky movie, then. Or, try a comedy and get him laughing! Both are a great excuse to get close to him."

"And what if none of that happens?"

"Then you had a fun night with a friend," Setsuna said with a serious yet jovial tone. "You're not about the marry the guy. No reason to take all of this too seriously."

"Besides," Toru toyfully said as the two hugged the acid user, "You'll always have the two of us to fall back on. We're not going anywhere." both girls then gave Mina a peck on the cheek as they settled in. They had a few hours to relax and lay down before Set had to head back to her room. Mina had hoped tonight would have led to more concert answers, but she had a gameplan and a sense of direction. Overall, not a bad outcome. "By the way," Toru whispered, "I'm with Setsuna: if Izuku for some reason is up for sharing, I want in.

Mina smiled as she walked outside the campus. Fresh Air. Touching Grass. Best part of finishing my classes for the day! Taking a stroll around was rather aimless, but she just loved to peak around at what her classmates do outside, like finding out Bakugo literally practices exploding or Tokoyami teaching Dark Shadow to not be a vampire. However today, she lucked out big time. Within some of the trees near the walls of the campus, Izuku and Ochako were sitting and comparing... something. Perfect! Hang on, Green bean! We got a date to plan! As Mina confidently strolled up to him, she then noticed a mushroom grow on his head. Naturally, she had to stop to process this. And getting a good look at Ochako made it clear it wasn't Ochako.

"Oh, yeah Mina!" Izuku said as if having a fungus horn was nothing to be concerned with. The girl turned around to reveal it was, indeed, Kinoko. "Kinoko was showing me all the mushrooms she can make."

Kinoko waved but didn't immediately say anything. And noticing the light blush on Kinoko's face made on thing clear to Mina. She's thirsty for him. Sure, she had no hard proof beyond a blush, but that never stopped Mina from knowing attraction. The many times she was proven wrong like with Bakugo and Ejiro are just flukes.

"Hey there, Midori!" Mina said with a smile. She reached out and playfully poked the mushroom on his head. "So, does this mushroom do anything?"

Kinoko just simply clapped her hands together and kept quiet. Strange, Setsuna said she was fairly talkative. Izuku took it upon himself to answer. "No, this is just a simply fungus. But she can turn her body fat into fungus, kinda like Momo's quirk."

"Oh, cool." Mina looked over to Kinoko, who wasn't exactly very confident. "So, can you make mushrooms that you can eat?"

"Yeah." Kinoko quietly said. You could actually eat the one I gave him-"

Mina then shot Izuku a very mischievous look that made her intention clear. Izuku, in a fit of panic over the idea of having to explain why Mina's mouth would be so close to his forehead, quickly pulled it off and held it out for Mina. "Wait, they can pop off?"

Kinoko nodded. "I can make it a proper mushroom that connects to the host, and I have to for something like pavement, but it's mush easier to make them like that for people-" She noticed Mina having a massive grin, and pulled her hands over her mouth. "I made a pun again, didn't I?"

Mina quickly pulled Kinoko's hands away from her mouth. "Come on, don't be ashamed! I could never be that clever that quick!"

"Clever?" It wasn't clear if Kinoko was thrown off by Mina's answer or that she hadn't let go of her hands just yet. "I-I don't do it to be fungi, it's just how I talk."

Mina let go of Kinoko to squeal just a little bit. "Oh my gosh that is too perfect! You're a natural!" She quickly pulled out her phone. "You want to hang out with me, Toru, and Setsuna sometime?" Mina had her suspicions about Kinoko telling Izuku about her totally-a-study-group, but now is not the time for that. However, Kinoko didn't immediately respond.

"I... I would just talk about mushrooms..." She said quietly.

"Really?" Mina spoke with a bit of disbelief. She turned around to Izuku. With one look in his eyes, it's clear he's willing to let them keep talking, but will interrupt if he feels the need to. She turned back to the brown-haired girl and said "I don't believe you."

"You-you can ask Izuku. It's all I've been talking about-"

"-because it's your quirk and he's a quirk dork!" She then held out the mushroom she picked off Izuku, "I mean, I bet you've explain every part of this thing to him, haven't ya?" Kinoko's mouth was quivering as she nodded, but Mina had a massive grin on her face. "Honestly, between learning about a normal, every-day thing and getting to hear you talk about your quirk in absurd detail, I'm surprised he hasn't proposed to you yet." Both Kinoko and Izuku turned an Ochako-approved shade of red while refusing to directly look at each other, much to Mina's amusement. "What I'm trying to get at is, I'm 100% sure you have more to you than mushrooms, even if they're one of your passions. And I mean it when I say I want you to join our little group."

"Ki-Kinoko," Izuku manage to get himself under enough control to talk to her, who hadn't fully recovered from Mina's Marriage joke. "I kn-know Mina can come off like a tease, but I assure you she's not like that. If-if she wants to spend time with you, it's because she thinks it'll be a good time for both of you." Izuku's face manage to pull of a grin. "She's unnaturally good at making people smile."

Mina actually felt a slight blush form over her, but quickly dropped the mushroom she got off Izuku and reached for her phone. Her trademark grin with her pink skin made it hard to tell when she was blushing, a welcome perk as far as she was concerned. Mina silently gestered her phone again, and Kinoko finally agreed to give her number.

"And as a thank you for trusting me," Mina leaned forward toward her and point her fingers between her horn. "Make an edible mushroom right in the center, please!"

"Really?" The mushroomette asked.

"Yeah! Who else can do that? I wanna try it!" Figuring that there was no reason not to, she attempted to create what she dubbed the "munch shroom" - a simple to eat mushroom. However, hers came out slightly more yellow than it normally does. Mina quickly pulled it off her and gleefully took a nibble. "Ooh! A little tart!" Kinoko made some mouth movements that gave Mina the idea that wasn't the expected out. However, she didn't make any sudden actions but instead gently reached out to take a little bit off for a taste test. And after a little bit of chewing, simply said:

"Yeah, a little bit. What's your quirk again?"

"Acid!" Mina then put her hands together and used some acid to melt the mushroom she pulled off of Deku (as well as kill a little bit of grass). "Oops... a tad overkill."

"Okay, that's why I normally don't make mushrooms on people. Their quirks can affect how they taste or even come out." Kinoko then put her finger on her chin, "That said, I wonder if I can naturally do that to make lemon, lime, or orange flavored mushrooms."

"I bet you could!" Izuku said with a beaming face. "I mean, if you can make them carry the nutrients they have, then surely that should give it a similar flavor, right?"

"Okay you two dorks." Mina said with a loving smile. "It seems like you two have your conversation for the day planned out, so I'll leave it to ya. Kinoko, I'll text ya the next time we're meeting up, and you can stop by if ya want!" Giving them a powerful thumbs up, Mina went on her day. It wasn't until she got back to her room that she realized she hadn't asked Izuku what he wanted to watch - the only reason she approached them in the first place.

'So, Ochako, what kind of Movie would Izuku want to watch?""Huh?" Ochako had just opened her door to some knocking to have a way-to-awake-this-early-in-the-morning Mina at her door. "Movie?"

"Yeah!"

"Have you tried asking him?"

"Well, Kinda? Things keep popping up or I just can't get time with him alone to ask." Mina the put her hands together and all but literally prayed to her. "So please! Help me out here!"

"Okay, okay. Calm down, and quite it down." Ochako's eyes looked like she wanted to pass out in the door way, but she had a weak yet earnest smile. "Horror."

"Let me guess," Mina said with a sudden jab or snark as she put her hands on her hips, "for the cuddles?"

"Oh yeah, but it'll be you hugging him." Mina raised an eyebrow at this, but still wondered about her angle. "Iida, Izuku, and I were given free tickets to a horror film. Dude clear was watching it, but beyond his eyes was rock-hard." Mina lost her footing giggling. "Not like that." She smack-patted Mina's head. "Bad pinky."

Mina, whom did not relent upon a knock to the head, eventually got herself under control. "Well, I have one spooky movie I never watched to finish."

'Perfect." Ochako clearly wanted to sound ecstatic, but just couldn't muster it up. "Anyway, I'm sorry Mina, but I need to go back to bed. Mei is suppose to have finished something for us and I need all my strength to handle her."

"Oh absolutely." Mina remembered to keep her voice down. "She's nice, but so hyper focused and maniac." Mina leaned forward with a sly look on your face. "If you don't make it back, I'll look have Deku for you."

Much to her surprise, Ochako chuckled and said "Well, at least I know he'll be safe if she is too much for me." The two waved as Ochako closed her door. Mina giggled as she could literally hear Ochako crash back onto her bed.

Man, she must really be tired to not be embarrassed by my teasing. I hope I'm not losing my edge! Mina stopped walking back to her room as a revelation hit her. Wait a minute... "us?"

So... this is well overdue :) But here it is. This was originally going to be Ria having sexy fun time with Mount Lady, Mitsuki Bakugo, and some of the Wild Wild Pussy Cats. But I wasn't happy with it, and I honestly think focusing on Deku and co. would be better. Might still do the bit between Ria and Mitsuki at some point, though.

As an apology, I'm fast-tracking Kinoko (the runner up) onto Mina's route. She's joining the girls Mina will end up dragging into this. No bonus points for guessing who that's referring to. Thank you, and I'm sorry for the wait. Here's hoping it's not 5 months until the next chapter.
