Leaning back into one side of the couch in his shared apartment Sam was looking through his phone for something to entertain himself with.

Swiping back to his main home page, he saw an app he didn't remember seeing before or even downloading.

The app had a spinning wheel for an icon and it was called the Gatcha Game of Changes.

Opening the app, at the top was text saying, 'Pick a Card' with three pictures below it.

Below the three pictures was another line of text saying, 'If a card is not picked within one hour of availability, all three cards will be selected by default'.

Rolling his eyes at such a stupid and pointless app, Sam ignored the cards, swiped out of it and closed the app.

Trying to look up the app, Sam couldn't find it so he could leave a bad review.

Getting distracted by other apps in the app store, Sam ignored the Gatcha Game of Changes.

When his roommate arrived 10 minutes later , he completely forgot about the app.

It was only after watching 43 minutes of a basketball match that he was reminded of the app when a notification appeared on his phone saying the time limit was up and all cards were selected.
