Sam, Trans 18 year old going to Prom (Wholesome)
Sam had been growing out their hair for a long time in preparation for this moment. Their friends knew they were trans a few years ago. The LGBT+ club helped them in many ways. When they came out to their parents, they were blessed with acceptance, albeit with the weirdness of teaching their dad about they/them pronouns.
When their 18th birthday happened their friends pitched together to get them a gift card to Fairy Godmother Salon. And their parents (along with their therapist's and doctor's approval) gifted them their first doses of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT).
As May came around, Sam was excited for prom. They binged all the classic Prom rom-com movies. Trained in high heel walking. Added more skirts to their wardrobe.
When Sam arrived in a t-shirt and jeans at the salon, the redheaded owner, June, was smiling and waving them in.
"Samantha right?" June asked.
"It's Sam right now... Actually..." Sam said looking down.
"Oh, I'm sorry, darling," June said placing her hand on their shoulder. "Take your time, I'm here to help facilitate your special day."
San looked up and gave a smile, "Thank you."

June led them to a salon chair and began her magic, "So... Who is taking you to prom?"
