Sagus must learn necromancy

Sagus turned and grabbed Sophie's shoulders. Not hard, but she winced. "How!? How can i bring her back!?"

Sophie struggled and got loose from his grasp. "There's a spell called the Ascension of Spirits. It can call a soul back to the living world, if the body is intact. If you learn it, you can bring Marianne back."

"Why didn't you tell me this sooner!?"

"Because...to learn it, you would have to give up your elemental art and pledge yourself to necromancy."

"So?"

"Sagus, i know how long it took you to master your art, how hard it was for you. I couldn't ask you to throw it away just because i wanted Marianne back." Sagus pulled back and stared stunned at her. "I didn't think you would consider her worth the sacrifice."

He couldn't decide whether to be mad at her or not react at all. He clenched his teeth and fists, then sighed and loosened them.
