Safe Room

We rushed into the room and slammed the door shut.

"Aren't there even more Shadows here than before? Just getting this far's been a real pain in my ass!" Skull pointed out, getting everyone's attention.

"It's all because you guys provoked Kamoshida, you know," Mona pointed out, causing us both to flinch at the, admiringly true, accusation. "Still, he seems to be awfully on guard."

"Anyways, how're we supposed to steal that treasure thing?" Skull questioned Mona.

"Don't be so hasty. First, we'll need to secure an infiltration route." Mona stated.

"A what?"

"A path to the treasure's location," Mona said before looking away unsurely. "But honestly, I think we'll need a little more manpower in order to accomplish this. At the very least one more person would be nice."

"Finding another member sounds like a good idea but how do we going to do that? It's not we can walk up to someone and ask if they want to take a journey inside a crazy gym coach's mind." I muttered before turning to Skull, noticing that he was staring at Mona oddly. "Something wrong, Skull? Why are you looking at Mona like that?"

Skull answered, his eyes leaving the cat creature as he spoke. "Hey, you say you don't have your memories and all but somehow you still know about that kinda stuff? Do you think this thing's really got amnesia?"

"It is kinda suspicious." I said, softly.

Mona stared at us with a hurt expression.

"That's what you think of me!?" he exclaimed.

"You sure talk big what if it turns out you're just some stray cat in the end?" Skull pointed out, causing Mona's eyes to shrink in shock at the accusation before shaking his head in denial.

"That can't be."

"Still, why was the princess in such an odd place?" a deep voice spoke from behind the door, we easily recognised as a Shadow's, causing to stiffen at the sound of it.

"Princess?" Skull whispered as Mona pressed his ear on the door to better eavesdrop on the conversation.

"I could have shown we were pursuing the readings of an intruder."

"It doesn't matter now. We must take her back to King Kamoshida!"

"Who's this princess they're talking about?" Skull asked as soon as we heard the sound of footsteps departing, allowing us to relax.

"I should probably look into this!" Mona spoke up as he left the safe room to investigate before either of us could say anything, which seemed to annoy Skull a bit.

"And yet another question goes unanswered." he sighed while kicking the ground a little. Stuff like the castle and that navigation app are mysterious but Morgana's got 'em both beat."

"Remember, code names." I spoke up suddenly, causing Skull to look at me, oddly before realising what I meant and immediately began to look sheepish as a result.

"Crap, sorry! What was I again? Oh yeah, Skull!"

Mona entered back into the room with a panicked expression.

"This is bad!"

"That was fast!"

"Your friend, Lady Ann! She's been taken by Shadows!" Mona exclaimed, causing us to look at him in shock.

"Wait, what? We sent her home earlier." Skull stated switch a perplexed expression.

"If Lady Ann does indeed have the app, it could be possible..." Mona causing the others to grow increasingly worried at the prospect.

"Oh no, don't tell me if got put on her's just like mine!?" Skull exclaimed in panic. "Dammit! We let her out for her own safety and she just came back in my herself! Dammit, we don't got time to be taking a break!"

"We need to hurry and rescue her! Follow me!"

We returned to the hall to find it empty save for the echoes.

"I'll guide you! She's just past that dining room-looking place! Let's go!" Mona ordered, prompting us to run in the direction we came from.

We abandoned stealth in favour of pursuit and rushed through the corridors led by the high pitched protests of Ann.

"Is this some kinda filming!? Who's in charge here!?"

We heard Ann gasp.

"This way!" Mona exclaimed, pointing at the corridor to the right of us when we heard Ann's voice cry out again.

"Look, I'll apologise for touching the armour without permission!" we overheard, causing us to take a closer look at the armour filled hall to see that one of the suits was indeed knocked down.

"She totally doesn't get what's going on!" Skull sighed in exasperation, annoyed at Ann and her apparent obliviousness of her situation.

"Let's hurry! We have to save her! You ready?" Mona exclaimed.

"I'm good to go." I said.

"Okay, let's go!"
