Morning comes. You and Dot hustle through your morning and drive to the hospital.

"I heard you crying, Anna," Dot says. "Are you all right?"

You take a minute to feel out an answer. Tears run down your cheeks.

"Anna, do you need to pull over?" Dot says.

"Yes."

You pull the car to the side of the road and let Dot cuddle you while you weep silently.

Your redheaded roommate asks you questions until she gets enough "yes" and "no" answers from you to get a sense of last night.

"If I were you I'd call in sick," Dot says.

"i feel better now," you tell Dot. She looks doubtful. "No. Really. Thank you, Dot."

"All right," Dot says. "Maybe you should check in with Nurse Bates. Seemed like she was on your side."

"I need to hear from Brenda," you say.

"You said she liked your bowling," Dot says. "So there's that. Okay then let's roll."

You ask Nurse Bates to find you time with Brenda.
