You can’t do it. You can’t push a button when you’re not sure. It has to be here for a reason… or maybe it does nothing. Whoever put all this together did so by using what was available to them. It’s not like the Apple corporation is behind this, creating bespoke equipment.

Peachface falls silent for a moment.

“Quickly,” she adds, and a one-minute timer appears on the screen.

There’s no time to give the riddle a deep amount of thought. It sounds to you like Peachface wants you to snap the bamboo rod, ideally by using it on Taytum’s rear end. But couldn’t you just as easily snap the rod over your knee. That would break it. Right?
