SS: TIE Postgame

That’s a wrap for Sapphic Sorority Take it Easy.

There’s a lot behind the scenes for anyone who cares. Originally, this story had a very defined mechanic for how it was going to end up; it was all planned that each choice would lead to different outcomes, including a modifier in the early chapters that would build a score of ‘soft’ or ‘hard’ for Sally and Rey separately. ‘Soft’ would lead to less bloody outcomes while ‘hard’ would mean more efficacy and success. Some choices were baked into the outline, like who to save, with modifiers being the severity of the situation.

But I didn’t stick to it. I saw how consistently readers were voting to basically be nice people, so I bent the rules a little to keep everyone alive and the ending a little lighter than it would’ve been otherwise. And in seriousness, this is how I should’ve outlined it to begin with. I need to keep lewdness front and center and not get sucked into the mood of the movie.

The choices that were made meant that we never got the planned version of the diner scene or any confrontation between Rey and Sally, so we never got the callback line “You didn’t think I’d take it easy on you?” or other things that I’d sort of planned on. On the other hand, we got away from the movie in interesting ways and I like that the final situation was nothing that I’d planned, just the organic outcome of how things ended up. (With a little extra juice because I wasn’t satisfied with the lewd content)

I think it turned out OK overall. The lewdness wasn’t the strongest, but I feel like the story occupies a nice place in the SSS anthology.

As discussed before, doing a movie gives us a better story but makes the lewd part a little tougher. On the other hand, I actually feel kind of good about picking a movie, opening with lewd content before things get going, then playing the story straight and having the real lewd content depend on decisions and how things shake out, shown in the epilogue. Like a more developed version of what we saw here. But that’s a problem for later, as the next SSS is already lined up and not based on a movie.

This one wasn’t really intended to have a winner, but it does. Their mission, if they choose to accept it, will decide our POV character for the next one. We are locked into having at least one more SSS, and you can expect it to start around the new year.

The Christmas Special this year is an anthology of 3 stories—1 yuri, 2 futa. So there’ll be a little more CCL before end of year.
