SS(S)S - Under the bed

You dive under the bed.

It’s a good call; the door opens a second later and Sal is back, but it’s tighter down here than you thought. You are extremely impressed with yourself for not getting busted yet, but it’s not lost on you that you haven’t accomplished anything at all.

It only gets worse when Sal drops heavily back onto the bed, crushing you. You can barely breathe. Struggling miserably against feelings of claustrophobia, you slowly and painfully get your mask off… that helps a bit, but now all you can do is lie here.

It’s hard to hear anything, and you can’t see at all. The bed is moving slightly, so she’s doing something up there… and by the sound of it, she’s using her computer. If you were in the closet, you would be able to see.

You can’t stay down here, but you also can’t move. The first chance you get, you are getting out from under this bed. That’s not in question. The only question is what you’ll do next. You are not willing to abort this mission with nothing. But… you’re running out of ideas. Real life is not like MGS. Shocking.

Gritting your teeth, you consider your options because there’s nothing else to do down here.

Searching the rest of the house? Dangerous and pointless. You don’t even know what you’re looking for. Searching Sal’s room? That’s an option, although it feels like a long shot.

What else is there? There’s Sal. You can engage her somehow. Get the information from her. How, though? You have no foot in the door. A true CCL girl would seduce her… but you don’t know if she’s even gay, let alone single, let alone interested in you. Besides, you don’t have huge faith in your seduction skills. And you’re wearing a Spider-Man costume that is probably starting to smell after all this exertion. You’d have to abort the mission to get ready to attempt a seduction mission, and you already decided not to give up. Sunk cost fallacy! You have worked super hard to be here.

So. Options are limited.

Sal’s computer is a Mac. It’s almost certainly synced to her phone. That gives you ideas. But that would be aggressive. Very saucy. And your ideas aren’t quite a plan yet… but you’ll figure something out.

It’s nowhere near bedtime. It’s not even dinnertime. So Sal will not be here all night. You’ll get another chance soon. When that chance comes, what move will you make? You feel as though you’re on the cusp of making this sneaking mission work. You have gotten in quietly and gotten a feel for the house. The situation is rough, but you can’t change that. No backing out. This is your second chance, and you have a feeling that you won't get a third. You also suspect that whatever you do next will determine what kind of MGS-style animal codename will define you.
