Ruto likes a more subservient Link, and blows him a kiss before leaving.

With his head still bowed, Link started to question why he was acting like this. After all, even if Ruto was a princess, so what? He'd known several royal people, and Link had treated them all like normal people. He'd treated Ruto that way even as he carried her through the body of an enormous fish. But thinking back at how rude he'd been to her as a child, Link found himself cringing. She was Zora Royalty, and Link was a Zora! Even if he hadn't been at the time, he still should have shown her obedience and deference at all times!

But before Link could further delve into these odd personality issues, Ruto spoke up. "Well, well, well. You know, I didn't think seeing my beloved had become a Zora woman would be so...entertaining. But to think, the obstinate man who stole my heart is now so pliable...you'd really do anything I asked, wouldn't you?"

"Yes, I would, Your Highness," Link told her, meaning every word, even if he didn't know why.

Princess Ruto laughed at that, sounding heartily amused. "For now, what I want is for you to look at me." Emboldened by the answer, Link dared to raise his head to meet her beautiful eyes, her gorgeous face, her perfect royalness. To Link's surprise (and happiness) she blew him a kiss, then told him, "Get to work defeating the monster in here, my dear little hero, and I'll be sure to reward you." With that said, Ruto left, and Link was left absolutely love-struck. How had he never noticed how wonderful and beautiful she was before? He quickly moved through the temple solving puzzles and opening locked doors, until he entered a strange room, one that looked like a pond, with an island in the middle.
