Rush to work for an important meeting

Alice rushes directly to work, she has an important marketing meeting in the morning. Alice rarely has much to do in marketing meetings, but seeing as she maintains the company website they like to have her there to answer the occasional website related question. She gets dressed quickly and gives Dan a kiss on the cheek goodbye.

"Have fun at work." Dan calls after her, his eyes never leaving his monitor.

Her stomach grumbles on the way to work, but she doesn't have time to eat. She rushes into the building, putting on her mask as she goes, and makes her way to the conference room just as the meeting is starting. Alice hadn't paid much attention to what the meeting was about, some sort of new product launch.

The first thing that catches her eye as she enters the conference room is a half empty box of gourmet cookies in the middle of the table. For the last two years she'd been diligently refusing communal food, but at that moment she was so hungry she almost didn't care. She stares at the cookies as she hesitates, trying to decide if she should eat one.
