Run into Cinder, Literally

“Oomph!”

Ruby wasn’t looking where she was going and rounded a corner. Without meaning too, she crashed into someone.

“Sorry!” She apologized immediately and looked up to see who she had hit.

Cinder Fall

The girl wore gray pants and boots; a beige leather, sleeveless jacket with light-beige details; brown gloves, a sarashi tied around her chest and another around her hips, and a pauldron on her left shoulder. She also wore a belt around her waist with a lot of pockets. Her eyes were bright amber and she had long ashen black hair. It was pushed to one side and slightly obscured one of her eyes from site. The older girl reached down a hand and helped her up.

“You really should be more careful, Ruby.” Cinder Fall, one of the students from Haven Academy, looked her up and down. “Someone might have believed you were attacking them.” She smiled, though her eyes seemed to stare right through Ruby. “Something on your mind?”

Ruby nodded.

“Was just thinking and wasn’t watching where I was going. Two of my friends are going on a date and I hope it goes well.”

“Oh?” Cinder raised an eyebrow. “How interesting.”

“Please don’t tell anyone I told you.” Ruby begged, blushing. Luckily she was still consider 17 due to the previous age swap. Or she might have just run off in embarrassment. “It’s kind of a secret until they test the waters.”

“My lips are sealed.” Cinder promised. Unknown to Ruby, she was already planning how this could be used to her advantage. “Well, I must be going. We must find time to hang out sometime before the Vytel festival.”

“S-sure!”

Ruby waved to her and she continued on her way. However, Ruby looked at her retreating form. The remote seemed to heat up at her touch. Now was a perfect time to try it out. Cinder seemed older than others and had a well-developed body, maybe Ruby could swap that? Ruby didn’t know much about Cinder, so Personal Info Swap was out of the question, but how about getting her hands on her wardrobe? See what kind of clothes she liked. Then there was the Life Swap option. After seeing what it could do to alter people’s actions, maybe she should try to learn about it?
