Run for it, aiming for the back door and a sprint home.

You panic and run down the stairs flat out, you run to the back of the house looking over your shoulder towards the door, praying it doesn't open.

Unfortunately they don't use the front door, you pile straight into someone, knockign them clean off their feet and into a pile of shopping, they're stunned, face down but you have nowhere to go, nowhere to hide as they look up at your face.
