Chapter 4 by Evelynns Scythe Evelynns Scythe

Will you run or try to help Kendra?

Run away!

You hear the screams from Kendra but just the sensation of the fear trough her spine makes Violet immediately ran for the door away from the hanger. Even though she would be separated from her shuttle crew, she would at least have a guarantee that she would survive. Rushing out the door before it locked with a slight hiss, Violet entered into the corridor with heavy breathing. This entire mission was now completely different, and the effects of the monster still weighed terribly on her mind. Having looked at the preliminary schematics before logging off of the last terminal, Violet knew these long, winding corridors lead to the tram station.

The USG Kelrion was way too big to traverse on foot, so each ship was outfitted with a very powerful tram system. Designed to ferry workers, families and the security teams to and from distance locations, getting to the tram station was Marie's best bet to finding out what happened here and how to possibly reverse it. With no RIG and no weapons, she would be easy prey for any of those creatures if there were more lurking about. Steeling her will, Violet walked on, her hands balled into fists.

Her comms were not working either, so she had no way of contacting the shuttle crew. What if they left without her? Afterall, they must just assume she was dead and flee the ship itself? Could they be that cold? Hoping to anyone listening above that her crew would wait for her, Violet wandered down the corridors silently and slowly. The ship itself creaked, and the various pipes hissed with pressure. The lights were still on emergency lighting only at this point, casting the corridor in a sickly yellow color.

As she moved, Violet made sure to keep her voice low and her breathing silent. If anymore of those creatures were around, she did not want to alert them to her presence. However, as she made her way to the tram station itself, nothing seemed out of place. No blood, no screaming, no other crew. It was almost like the entire ship had been emptied of people and filled with these grotesque monsters. Violet tried hard not to think about as she approached the next security door. In big bold letters, the door read "TRAM MAINTENANCE".

Accessing the terminal next to it,Violet was able to quickly reroute power from another terminal, and the door slid open with a hiss.
