What's next?
Rules of the game
"So, Lucas, you seem like a reasonably intelligent man. Ever since you picked up my creation in that game shop, of all places, I've been watching you. I'm sure that you've been wondering what the powers of this die 'costs.'"
All I could do at that was nod in agreement.
"Conservation of mass and or energy, no such thing as a free lunch, yady yada, so on and so forth. Yes, I've heard them all." As she spoke, Xarira began to spin her staff around idly. "And it is a reasonable thing to think about, because I'm no neutral observer. I'm not like the rest of you 'mortal' beings. I don't need food, or sleep to survive. I've got a couple creations like this one," with that she snapped her finger and a larger version of the Eye of Ceridwen appeared, spinning on her finger like a basketball, "and through them I get the...energy I need to continue my existence and live my life."
I was trying to wrap my brain around what she was telling me. "So...when we roll the die, it...for lack of a better word, 'feeds' you?"
"Sort of. But that's as much as I'm going to tell you at this time. I've had issues with mortals in the past who tried to use what they thought they knew to gain the upper on me and my powers. This little sit down is more so that I can make sure you fully understand the pecking order. I'm happy to let you have some fun with this bauble," she tossed the die to me, with it shrinking down as I caught it, " you just should take care to remember that this die, and what it does is real. Your friend Max's recent difficulty filling out their athletic cup is a testament to that. And I strongly recommend you don't try to 'rig' the rolls. "
"Can we use the die to undo previous rolls?" The question had been on my mind since the Max incident.
"It's not impossible. But you should know that undoing a roll will generally require a higher roll, and you'll also be running a higher risk of a less than desirable outcome. Now, our time has run short. Your blue-haired friend is about to wake up and she's going to take it upon herself to wake you up in a very pleasant way. But, before you go, there's one last thing you should know."
I found myself being slightly distracted from what Xarira was saying by the sensation of a phantom hand tongue slathering around my cock.
"Ah, there she is. I just wanted you to know that while it's not in your best interest to try and manipulate the Eye's outcomes, you should know that you might find my thumb on the scale at times. Maybe someday you'll find out why. Ooh...looks like you're about to wake up. I'll see you around Luke. And, who knows, you might see me too. Bye Luke..."

...was that real?
