Rules and roles changed.

We both woke up Friday morning at the same time. I did my usual routine but Melissa just laid in bed. "I'm not going in today.1 dont feel well." She said rather matter of factly. "Are you ok, dear?" I asked with concern "I'll be fine" she said. I could detect a little bit of coldness.

I spent the whole day at work in a daze of confusion, concern for Melissa because she rarely ever calls out, and panic thinking my plan didn't work. Finally 5:00 came around and it was time to go home.

Luckily we only live a few miles from my office otherwise with all the crazy thoughts in my head. Finally I arrived home. When i walked up the driveway, I could sense something was different. But when I opened the door my jaw dropped.
