Rukia wants her turn!

"My turn then?" Rukia asked the others. Shinji turned towards Rukia and stared at her like she was out of her mind.

"...you're kidding right?" he asked. "Against my better judgement, I made an exception for Ichigo because of his track record, which he just added another notch to, but you don't have those same credentials! Back to the piece of crap with you!"

"Hey! Don't call my Super Trainer a piece of crap!" Hiyori shouted indignantly. "I worked hard on designing the thing, damn it!"

"...about as hard as Rukia works on her drawings," Ichigo muttered, getting a dirty look from Rukia. "Honestly, it just seems like a waste of time, only designed to measure spirtual energy while slowly draining it. Hence your requirement for someone to be able to last three days on it at a minumum, right?" Ichigo asked. "That's the minimum amount needed to stand a decent chance against an Inner Hollow, so you seem to think... but if the Inner Hollow is basically the same as you abilitywise, why would that make a difference? It would gain spirit energy at the same rate as you trained to increase your reserves, wouldn't it?"

"Huh, surprised you noticed," Shinji replied. "But no, it doesn't quite work like that. In the Inner World, spirit energy isn't actually expended, in a sense. It's an entirely closed system. However, the Hollow has access to all of the spirit energy both you and it expend. In short... in the Inner World, the Hollow can't tire, because it has first dibs on all the ambient spirit energy. So you can tire, but it can't. THAT's the point of increasing your baseline stamina. To ensure you can last long enough at peak performance to figure out how to gain the upper hand."

"...sorry Rukia, but when he puts it like that, you are going to have to train to increase your reserves," Ichigo told her, making her pout and cross her arms. "...but you seriously couldn't figure out a more efficient, not to mention less ridiculous way than resembling a hamster on a wheel for three whole days?"

"We don't exactly have a lot of resources, being in hiding and all... we made do with what we could get our hands on," Hiyori huffed, crossing her arms. "I'm surprised I even had enough materials to cobble together a second Super Trainer so you could both use one at the same time... and of course, Shinji decided to unilaterally make that a waste of my time," she huffed at him, making him shrug.

"Hey, we were all getting tired of Ichigo's whining, and my gut told me he could pull it off. I just decided to listen to it," he replied.

"...so what, you all apply three days as a standard across the board? Kind of a stupid way to do things," Rukia noted, making everyone look at her.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Hiyori huffed.

"I mean not everyone fights in a way that expends a great deal of spirit energy in one go, do they?" Rukia pointed out. "I fight with precision, conservatively until I can see an opening. Unlike meatheads who just throw around their power."

"...she has a point," Lisa grimaced. "How did we miss something that obvious?"

"Tch, fine, we'll reduce your time to two days with that in mind..." Shinji sighed.

"...I still say you should at least ask Urahara if he has a more efficient way to measure spirit energy," Rukia grumbled, but glad a concession was made at least.

"...fine, I'll go ask him!" Hiyori threw up her hands, before storming towards the exit. "But you owe me, flat chest!"

"You're the LAST person to call anyone that!" Shinji shouted after her. He got beaned in the face by Hiyori's sandal as she kicked her leg back almost casually for that one.
