the morning after

Ruining more than just a building

Chapter 24 by Mrservus Mrservus

The Next Morning

Aether and Rosaria were woken up by the sound of quiet, efficient movement.

Ganyu was already fully dressed in her usual elegant outfit, horns neatly polished, looking bright-eyed and radiating energy. She had been awake for three hours.

The once-destroyed west wing was already being repaired by teams of workers (courtesy of Ningguang), and Ganyu had taken it upon herself to organize everything.

She had sorted all of Aether’s documents, created detailed itineraries for meeting the adepti, compiled reports on potential leads for his sister, prepared breakfast, and even left neatly written notes about Liyue’s current political climate.

She smiled sweetly at them as they sat up, looking every bit the perfect secretary again.

“Good morning! I took the liberty of organizing your belongings and drafting several letters of introduction for the adepti. I also prepared a light breakfast and scheduled a meeting with Madame Ping for this afternoon, if that suits you.”

Ganyu tilted her head cutely, completely unaware of the sheer terror her relaxed, fully-satisfied state inspired.

The same terrifying efficiency that had once been buried under centuries of stress and sexual frustration was now running at full power.

Rosaria stared at her, slightly wide-eyed.

“…This might actually be scarier than when she was breaking the building.”

Aether nodded slowly, still half-asleep.

Ganyu blinked innocently.

“Is something wrong? Did I overstep?”

She looked so genuinely eager to help, like an overly enthusiastic puppy who had just destroyed an entire wing of a mansion the day before and was now ready to conquer the world with paperwork.

Just as Ganyu finished explaining the day’s itinerary with terrifying efficiency, a maid knocked politely on the door and entered with a sealed letter on a silver tray.

It bore the elegant seal of the adepti.

Ganyu’s eyes lit up as she accepted it and opened it with practiced grace.

“It’s from Cloud Retainer,” she said, scanning the contents quickly. “She has expressed interest in meeting with you, Traveler. She mentions hearing about your search for your sister and offers to speak with you personally at her abode in Mt. Aocang… provided certain conditions are met.”

Ganyu read the rest of the letter aloud:

“Should the Traveler prove himself worthy of an audience, this one shall consider lending her wisdom. Bring the half-qilin secretary if you wish. She has been neglecting her own nature for far too long.

— Cloud Retainer”

Ganyu’s cheeks flushed slightly at the mention of herself, but she remained professional.

Ningguang had clearly already moved her pieces on the board. This “invitation” had been arranged suspiciously fast — probably before Aether had even finished fucking Ganyu into the ground yesterday.

Rosaria smirked, leaning back against the headboard.

“She really doesn’t waste time, does she? The Tianquan is already throwing adepti at you like offerings.”

Ganyu looked between them, still radiating that slightly terrifying post-orgasm productivity.

“Should I prepare travel arrangements? I can have a boat and supplies ready within the hour. I’ve also taken the liberty of drafting a formal response letter for your approval.”

She smiled brightly, horns perked up, looking every bit the perfect, over-energized secretary who had spent the previous day getting absolutely destroyed and was now compensating by being too helpful.
