Ruby returns

The two of them were so engrossed in their conversation that they didn't hear footsteps approaching behind them.

"I'm back!" Ruby said, popping around the corner. The sudden noise caused both involuntary streakers to jump in surprise, with Yang letting out a small yell.

"Geez, jumpy much?" Ruby chuckled, dropping to her knees and setting her bag on the ground in front of her.

"Cut us some slack," Yang said, she and Pyrrha walking over to Ruby. "We don't want anyone to see us in our birthday suits."

"You mean anyone else?" Ruby asked teasingly as she began pulling clothes out of her bag, handing them out to their respective owners.

"Shut the fuck up," Yang grumbled, pulling her shirt on and buttoning it up.

"Oh, relax," Ruby assured her, handing Pyrrha her skirt. "If anyone did come back here and see you, you could...I don't know...bribe them into keeping quite? 30 seconds to feel you both up, in exchange for silence?"

The glares that comment drew quickly made Ruby stop talking, silently handing out the rest of the clothes. To their surprise, Ruby kept them very well organized, knowing exactly which piece went to who.

Once that was all done, and the two women were fully clothed, Pyrrha gave a deep sigh, trying to calm herself.

"Now," she said, looking between Ruby and Yang. "Let's hope I can recover from this embarrassment, in some way."

Yang felt a fresh pang of guilt, mentally kicking herself once more for causing this.

"I'm really sorry, Pyrrha!"

Pyrrha didn't respond, though. She'd already turned and walked down the alleyway, going onto the sidewalk to return to her dorm. Even from here, Yang could hear wolf whistles as people saw the invincible girl return from her impromptu exhibition. Yang fully expected the same once she walked out there, as well.

"How mad is she?" Ruby asked, looking over at her sister.

"Hard to say," Yang admitted, the two of them walking out of the alley. "We talked about a bunch of different things while you were gone, and that seemed to take her mind off of it, at least."

Sure enough, as soon as Yang stepped out into the open, the same reactions of her male classmates announced her arrival. On any other day, Yang would go to every one of them and take a pound of flesh to teach them a lesson. Right now, though, she just endured it silently, feeling she deserved it on some level for what she did to Pyrrha.

"This probably didn't help, though," Ruby whispered as the two of them began walking back to the dorm building.

"Yeah..." Yang nodded solemnly. "I don't know if she'll ever forgive me for this. And, honestly...I don't know if I deserve it, even if she did."

The rest of the walk passed in silence. When they got home, Yang went straight into her own dorm, wanting to give Pyrrha some time to deal with her anger in her own way.
