Ruby and Blake get an early lead

It was slow going, at first. Mostly due to the girls not knowing exactly how much touching, and where, was ok. They'd shared nude hugs before, yes, but that was a general touch. This was more specific, intentionally grabbing for the other's arms, shoulders, chest, whatever was in reach.

There was also the fact of each girl having a teammate between her nude legs. The initial awkwardness surrounding that, as well as the inevitable rubbing from all the moving around, meant there was a lot of uneasy adjusting in the first few minutes.

However, once they all got over that, the game was able to really begin.

Right from the start, it was clear Ruby was a natural at this. Wielding that big, cumbersome scythe around had evidently given her impressive arm strength. Not overly so, but it was more than Weiss with her much smaller rapier. As such, Ruby was rather easily able to push Weiss off of Yang's shoulders, even with the blonde holding on for dear life.

There was also Blake, acting as the base. Despite her feline nature, she moved well in the water. This especially caught Weiss by surprise, who made a comment about it after team Ladybug scored their third point of the game.

"How the fuck are you so good at this?"

Blake shrugged, causing Ruby to bounce a bit and laugh, grabbing onto Blake's head for support.

"Menagerie is surrounded by water," Blake responded, a playful smirk teasing across her lips. "I'd expect you to operate similarly well in the snow."

Very quickly, the score reached 5-1, with team Freezerburn trailing far behind. They had all agreed beforehand that they'd play until one of them reached 8 points, not wanting the game to go on all night.

"Ok, time out," Yang commented, panting slightly. "I need a break."

Ruby and Blake nodded, Ruby slipping off of her partners shoulders and back into the water. She'd been up for so long, most of her body had become dry.

Meanwhile, Weiss and Yang slumped off to the side of the pool, taking a moment to recuperate.

"What the hell is going on?" Weiss asked under her breath. "We're getting destroyed out there."

"I'm not sure..." Yang panted, splashing some water into her face. "I think Blake might be part fish, too."

Weiss smirked at the thought, but did her best to stay focused.

"Look..." she said, leaning closer. "If we're going to win...I think we'll need to play dirty."

Yang slowly turned to look at her, an amused smile showing.

"Skinny dipping in the middle of the night, playing games, and taking cheap shots?" Yang asked, chuckling. "Who are you, and what have you done with Weiss?"

Weiss held her smirk, feeling proud to show off this new side of herself.

"I can be quite fun, around my friends."

"Hey, losers!" Ruby called from across the pool, drawing the attention of Weiss and Yang from their own conversation. "Whaddya say we make this a bit more...interesting?"

"Interesting, how?" Yang asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Losers have to do a forfeit decided by the winners," Blake spoke up, standing confidently next to her team leader with her arms folded across her chest.

"So sure you'll win, are you?" Weiss asked, hopping up on the edge of the pool in preparation for another round.

"I mean...I suppose you could turn it down," Ruby shrugged, getting back onto Blake's shoulders. "If you're...chicken."

Yang's eyes narrowed at her opponents. For her entire life, especially when it came from Ruby, Yang had never been able to back down from a challenge. And the chance to take Ruby down a peg in an embarrassing way of her choice was just too good an opportunity to pass up.

"Fuck it. You're on!" Yang almost shouted, not bothering to consult her partner.

Weiss felt a little unsure about this development, but wasn't about to burst Yang's bubble when she was getting so fired up like this. If they were going to win this, they'd need all the energy they could muster.

"We accept," she said more cordially, climbing back onto Yang's shoulders.
