So, under duress, Lily took a mild Acceleration Potion which sped up her pregnancy so that she'd give birth much sooner. Instead of nine months - around February (as she'd been knocked up in May) - Lily would instead give birth in October, then she and James would be married a month later.

And sure enough, on Friday the 13th of October 1995, Lily Evans (soon to be Potter) gave birth to her daughter, Ruby Lily Evans - so named because of her bright red irises. Lily made a point of contacting the father, who was very happy with his newborn daughter.

Over the next few years Lily and James continued their education at Hogwarts, while the children were raised at home - Ruby by Lily's parents and her sister and her husband, while Harry was raised by his paternal grandparents.

Then in 2000 when Ruby was 5 and Harry was 4, the Dark Lord Voldemort came to the Potter Residence in Godric's Hollow. In the beginning, the official story was that Albus Dumbledore had sacrificed his life to save the Potters and send the Dark Lord running.

But then Dumbledore's journal, and the subsequent revelations, were uncovered. After that, Lily revealed the truth, complete with memories.

When the man had shown up following Dumbledore's Journal being revealed, people were worried until he volunteered for questioning under truth serum. It was during the questioning that Tom revealed that he had only been fighting to liberate the world from Dumbledore's tyranny and that any atrocities his forces were accused of were in fact staged by Dumbledore and his people, or if they were committed by his forces then it was done without his knowledge or blessing.

Sure enough, after extensive questioning, Tom was cleared - minus a large fine for the actions he had committed - and would go on to apply for the DADA position he had so coveted.

And so with her daughter in hand and millions of Galleons in her account, Lily left the court to the sound of her now ex-husbands angry protests and her now ex-son crying for his mommy.
