Route 201-1 (Victory C2)

Stepping out onto route 201 you feel the breeze blow through your long hair, it's a beautiful spring day and you are about to begin your Pokémon Journey! If you turned left at the branching path here you would return to Lake Verity, but rather than head for the lake, this time you turn right, where you are immediately blocked by tall grass, at least to your waist in height. Now it's time to be careful, in that grass could be a plethora of wild Pokémon, and while your Chimchar is quite powerful you know too many battles could be disastrous. You steel yourself gathering courage, and begin walking forward, into your future, into your journey.

A moment of calm passes and the breeze blowing bends and twists the grass before you. You however are on edge as you walk through the grass keeping your eyes peeled for movement. Shortly a Starly bursts upwards from the grass, dive bombing you as soon as it can. It's desire is evident a raging boner hanging down. You panic taking a quick step back you call forth. "Go Chimchar!" and you toss the pokeball clipped onto your side. Chimchar bursts forth ready for battle with a confident cry.

"Chaar!" He yells, leaping energetically around the battlefield.

"Chimchar, Scratch!" The Pokémon bursts forth at your command charging at the Starly who, failing to dodge the attack is wracked by the sharp claws of your Pokémon. Starly calls out angrily attempting to land an attack of its own. But you see an opportunity, "Chimchar dodge!" Your Pokémon leaps out of the way and you quickly throw one of your empty pokeballs, catching the small bird Pokémon. The ball lands on the ground and shakes, once, twice, and after a third time, the little bird is caught and you've captured your first Pokémon! After a moment of excitement you return Chimchar to his pokeball.

Once more continuing cautiously through the tall grass, you keep your eyes peeled, and sure enough a wild Bidoof bursts from the tall grass not to long after the battle with Starly, charging you directly. "Go Starly!" You call sending out your new Pokémon. Starly bursts forth and hops around on the ground. "Starly fly out of range of the Bidoof's attacks!" He obeys flying upwards just high enough that the tackle from Bidoof misses. "Starly use tackle!" And the small bird dives downwards slamming into the Bidoof on the ground. "And again!" Starly obeys flying once more out of reach tauntingly avoiding the Bidoof's attack, before once more diving downwards and landing the knockout blow. With the Bidoof **** Starly grows stronger and you return him to your pokeball.

So far your journey is going really well!
