Rose can come, you GUESS

The Cleansed Jane observes your interactions impassively. "What if I don't want to be Chase's girlfriend?" she asks, looking at you with a perplexed expression.

Rose rolls her eyes. "Jane, shush. He already had you drink his bootleg love potion, you barely know what's going on."

You're surprised Rose is this chill about your plan. "Why? I mean, you can help if you want, but why?"

"Please. We fuck like every other day, and even I don't want to be your girlfriend," says Rose. "I like following your lead, I like the games we play, and you're my best friend, but I'll level with you. You're the side guy girls fool around with to get it out of their system, before they get serious. You're a great friend, sure, and friends-with-benefits, definitely. But you'd need to find a unicorn to take you as is."

Rose's summation offends you. "That's what you really think of me?" you ask, hurt. "Come on. You know that's not all I'm good for."

She reaches over and squeezes your hand. "Of course you and me know that, but Jane doesn't," says Rose, nodding toward Jane. "But if the Juicer Max has power enough to take the red out of her hair, using it to help Jane see your positive qualities shouldn't be that hard, right?"

On that count, Rose is right.

"So," she says, "let's upgrade Jane into a unicorn."

You're filled with resolve. Yeah, you can do this. And even better with Rose's help, right?

You turn to Grey Jane. "Follow me. I have more sodas I want you to try."

Jane's still troubled, but the apparently harmless offer eases her mood. "Oh, cool. Sounds fun."

She comes without further argument, and you take her and Rose back to the Popple lab.

Meanwhile, the question lingers in the air between you and Rose, of what exactly you intend to do with Jane, your longtime redheaded crush.
