Rose's Epilogue

Two hours later:

"Well, I guess that's it," said future Rose Tyler, now fully dressed in a nineteenth-century outfit. "I'm staying here to look after young Princess -- er, Drusilla."

"But are you sure you'll be able to make the adjustment to nineteenth century living?" asked Willow. "After all, you're probably quite used to life in the twenty-first century."

"I am but this is what the Mistress would have wanted," said future Rose. "More importantly, this is what the Doctor would want me to do -- to use my gift of long life to watch over another."

"But what about me?" asked future Clara. "You're supposed to come back to me."

"I'll come back to you, Clara," said future Rose. "Eventually. But first I have to fulfill my promise to the Mistress."

"But Drusilla is dead now," said future Clara. "We all saw Buffy kill her after Amy caged up Missy the Rat. So you no longer owe her anything."

"I no longer owe Drusilla the Elder anything," said future Rose. "But Drusilla the Younger is still my Mistress. Besides, she stuck by me and er -- Cordelia when it would have been easier for her to run. Speaking of which... What do you intend to do, Cordelia?"

"Well, my most recent employer is dead and I really don't have much of a life left for me back in the twenty-first century," said Marcie. "So I guess I might as well stay here and help you watch over Drusilla the Younger. I know that sounds crazy but hey, I've done far crazier things."

Then future Clara turned to a naked present Rose and said, "I don't suppose you'll come back to the future with me."

"I'm sorry," said present Rose. "I can't. Tara is my Mistress and I need to watch over her. Apparently my other Mistress had this vision of Tara standing by this window the same day some insane guy started waving a loaded gun around outside and then --"

"No need to go into that again," said Tara, now clad in Rose's blue dress. "I'm sure that was just a bad dream. I just hope that you will be happy living with me and Willow until we find a cure for your spell of obedience."

"Er, does Rose really have to live with us?" asked Willow.

"Yes, she does," said Tara.

"Does she really?" asked Willow.

"Yes, Willow," said Tara. "If we could live with Amy, we could live with Rose."

"But --"

"Yes, Willow," said Tara. "She is. Now no more questions."

And with that, everyone save future Rose, Drusilla, Marcie, Amy, Willow and Buffy vanished into the two TARDISes -- Missy's and Clara's.

"You know we really should come up with a permanent solution to the whole Missy thing," said Buffy. "Even the longest-lived rat eventually dies and once Missy the Rat dies, that will just start up the whole thing all over again."

"Well, I have a solution," said future Rose, "but it don't know how feasible it would be."

"Try me," said Buffy.

"Well, first of all, we would need a time machine," said future Rose. "And then..."
