Rogue Meets Hack

The message she received actually explained everything.

It was another member of the Muties, this one named Hack.

She felt surprisingly relived by this knowledge.

She wasn't sure why, this person was clearly incredibly dangerous and they had information that she'd rather not leak out.

She asked him why she thought she had been with Flex.

Hack quickly told her that Flex wasn't exactly subtle in his hinting to others in the gang that he'd fucked her.

Rogue felt like she wanted to facepalm, at first she couldn't believe Flex would do something so stupid, but then she realized that him bragging about fucking her was exactly the kind of stupid shit he'd do.

She still hoped that wasn't true.

Even if it he had, Rogue would simply deny it and she was pretty sure most people would take her side.

After all, it was a **** dealers words against hers.

Of course, she knew things weren't going to be that easy and her mind was suddenly back to all the problems this mission could cause in the future.

A scandal like this could leave the X-Men in shambles.

Especially when it came to Gambit.

Luckily for Rogue, a sound from her phone managed to tear her attention away from that potential clusterfuck.

"So, what do you say, how about we meet for lunch so I can finally get to see my first crush in the flesh?" Hack asked.

Rogue wasn't 100 percent sure how to respond to that, maybe she could, for now, let him down gently.

"That's sweet of you, Sugar, but I'm incredibly busy, we'll meet later!" She said, hoping that would work.

"Cool, whenever you have the time, let me know." Came the response, giving Rogue a huge feeling of relief.

She offered the chance to talk to him a bit more, before she had to leave the conversation.

A little concession to make sure that she was on his good side.

He was more than happy to take her up on that offer and soon he was telling her all about his life story.

He was a generic nerd loser who got a little power and became a complete asshole.

Rogue wasn't surprised.

Still she wanted to learn as much as she could.

She wanted as much ammo as she could get.

The more she had, the better she'd be able to infiltrate the Muties.

Especially if it got her the info she needed.

Once she felt like she'd had enough of him, she sent him a message telling him that she had fun getting to know him, but she had business to deal with.

With a promise to eventually have lunch with him.

What had started as a scary moment had quickly become an opportunity that she intended to eventually take advantage of.
