Rogue Chooses Mystique

Rogue leaned over and kissed Shaw...only to begin absorbing him, shocking the Black King and soon incapacitating him.

As it turned out, Mystique was more right than she realize.

Shaw was already on the verge of creating this new Sentinel and making it available to the highest bidder.

If he went through with that, then there was no hope for Mutants

Rogue quickly realized that genocide was something she'd never want to be a part of.

Sure things had gotten a bit boring in the X-Mansion, but she realized that getting involved with Shaw was not the answer.

She also realized that it was probably for the best if she quickly walked away from this whole mess that she'd gotten involved in.

She looked at her mother who gave her a grin that told Rogue that she was gonna hold this over her head for years.

That wasn't exactly a great sign, but it was something that she'd have to deal with later.

She'd also have to figure out why she let herself be seduced in the first place.

It was clear that she had some issues that she need to work on.

At the moment, she had to put all of that out of her head and focus on Shaw.

Keeping him from being a problem was the main issue, but, thankfully, he was out like a light, so they had time to get that done.

She and Mystique quickly found various items to tie him up and make sure that then the call was put out to the X-men that she was now free of Shaw's influence.

Raven would definitely use this mess to her benefit later, but it was probably smart to let things cool down before she figured out her next move, so she decided to leave early, not wanting to tip the X-Men off to her presence.

Rogue quickly stripped out of her Black Queen outfit and found a few random clothes to put on.

She knew Wolverine would smell Shaw all over her, but she also knew that he'd probably confront her in private.

She'd deal what that when it was time, for now, she just had to give a sigh of relief and hope that everything would work out for her.
