Rodent Rumble

You saw the Sandslash attempting to go after the retreating Grovyle, but you tackle her with your shoulder, knocked her off balance. She kept herself on her feet before she turned to you and hissed. You take a stance as you make it clear to the infected that she'll have to deal with you instead of him. When it clicked to her, the Sandslash sported a wide grin on her face, clearly satisfied with the compromise considering she's facing an electric type.

You grimace at the sight of her grin as well as seeing her licking her face. It's clear considering of typing, she already expects to be having you as a meal. Even you are well aware that'll be very difficult to face an infected in this situation.

'I just got to hold out until Felix returns. He's fast. Shouldn't be too long. It's not like he won't get hold up by something.' you thought as you charged towards the Sandslash, not wanting to risk her thinking of a strategy.

The Sandslash brought her head down to show her brown quills as they glowed and started shooting out towards you. You quickly hardened your tail and swung it in front of you, deflecting most of her quills while barely moving your head out of the way as one zoomed past you, barely missing your cheek. Taking a moment to focus, you leaped into the air and spun around, your tail lashing towards the Sandslash who counters it with her metal claw.

The two attacks clash with each other, both you and the infected sand mouse struggling to overpower the other. You managed to move the claw out of the way before striking her with your tail. The Sandslash winced from the attack before she shook it off before slashing at your belly with her claw. You tumble back from the pain as you noticed a faint red glow radiating from the ground type.

'Oh no, she's gotten stronger!' You thought before you saw her opening her mouth and multiple spheres of mud shot out towards you. You got onto all fours and started moving fast with agility, closing the distance and dodging the attacks as you headbutted her back.

The Sandslash growled at you, annoyed at the fact that you're making this harder than she expected as she charged towards you, claws raking against the ground. You kept your legs bent and leapt back to avoid the swipe, but you didn't realize that her previous raking gathered some dirt from the ground, and it landed in your eyes, making you cry out in pain.

You struggled to rub the sand out of your eyes, but despite that, the pain they feel makes it hard for you to see clearly. You gritted your teeth as you ran towards her, left paw glowing white as you swung towards her face, only for her to sidestepped you and slam you down with her claw. You winced in pain at that as you slowly got up and made it to your hind paws. You felt your body starting to show signs of fatigue while you see the Sandslash sporting a smile.

You looked up momentarily checking where Felix went, getting increasingly worried about him and your sister.

'Felix, where are you?!' you thought to yourself, hoping that the Grovyle wasn't actually stewing in someone's gut as well as... you shake your head fiercely to get that thought out of your head as you quickly glance and see that Vargus is still struggling to fight the Meinshao with the fighting type having his hands together and launching an Aura Sphere towards the Zoroark, with your friend barely jumping in its way and bringing a protect barrier around them to keep them safe.

You gritted your teeth, fighting through your fatigue and is heading towards the Sandslash, paw glowing white once more before you pushed against her metal claw before overpowering her and slamming your paw in her face, knocking her off her paws. You smiled a bit as you saw her landing on her back as she got up. Not wanting her to get a chance to attack, you ran towards her, but saw that she curled into her quills and started to sidespin around, creating a mini vortex of dust and sand. You try to stop yourself, but you had too much momentum as she launches it towards you, trapping you in it.

You winced as you were in the center of the tornado, your body being battered constantly from the sand hitting all around you. Whenever you tried to breathe, you cough as some sand entered your mouth. You can see there is that Sandslash watching you from outside, waiting for the Sand Tomb to weaken you enough for her. You cough and wince in pain as you're running out of air fast, urging you to get out before you risk passing out.
