Chapter 4 by Shibbar Shibbar

One of the overhead lights flicker.

Robot charging station

There are several slots for robots to charge in, but as far as you know the station only has one robot working at the hangars- A.M.Y.

A.M.Y. is somewhat like the mascot to the dock-workers; a big, "friendly" machine that can carry 8000 pounds of cargo without slowing down- though honestly you've never seen it that way. You think it's the eye, the single large red eye that seems to be able to see everything that gives you the creeps. Otherwise, it's a somewhat wiry machine that stands at roughly eight feet tall and three feet wide, roughly shaped like a gorilla or an upright dog. It's mostly covered in plasteel casings, painted yellow with black safety stripes, studded with rivets and handles, though there are some places where you can see the wires beneath. It's two oversized arms hang down past the hips, shaped in an angular sort of way that allows it to ergonomically carry crates and containers- there's a kind of mechanical screw on the back of the shoulder that can adjust the arm length to allow it to carry different sizes easily on the fly. The hands are modular, allowing A.M.Y. to carry and switch out a variety of different tools depending on the job.

...at least, that's what you can tell from its safety manual kept nearby. A.M.Y. is not actually in the charging dock right now, raising the question: where the hell is she?

The fact the giant robot is missing is not a comforting sign.
