Robin seems fine at first

John woke up slowly as the events of the night before started to come back to him. He closed his eyes and tried to will it all into a dream but there was no undoing it, though he certainly put in the effort. He sat up and started his morning routine, not ready to face the day. While getting dressed for work he heard rustling in the house, clearly, Robin was already up.

"Maybe his brain just needed a night's sleep to reboot itself," he thought.

After hesitating for a long moment, John took a breath and exited his bedroom. He walked to the kitchen and saw Robin leaning over a bowl of cereal, his face in his phone. It looked like he was wearing the same thing from the night before, probably just falling asleep in it.

"Hey," Robin grunted without looking at John.

"Hey, Robin...how are you?" John asked cautiously.

"Whoever invented mornings should be shot," Robin told him.

John sighed in relief internally at that, glad to see that Robin was Robin again. He quickly made them some coffee and toasted himself some bread. He placed a cup in front of Robin which Robin took into his hands.

"God, you're amazing," Robin said taking a sip.

"I need to fly, I'll see you after work," John said on his way out.

Robin watched as John hurried out the door. She was a little disappointed that he didn't stop for a kiss but he was in a hurry. She took consolation in watching his ass as he walked away.

"He does look sexy in those slacks. Now I wish we got up a little early so we could have had a little fun," she murmured into her coffee.

Robin finished her cereal and the coffee her boyfriend made for her and decided to start her day.
