Rina

John was back to going through notes, taking practice tests, and studying his how-to guides. John was basically doing everything he could to try and improve his knowledge of psychology or at least keep his knowledge of whatever he knew that was working. Though that was what surprised John most, that his discount therapy was working.

His proof for this was that neither Rogue nor Gambit was tearing the Xavier Institute apart in the mother of all breakup battles. Which probably sounds ridiculous, but considering all the wacky and weird crap going on in this world, the X-Men academy getting destroyed because of a bad breakup wouldn't have even made the top ten poorly reasoned tragedies.

He found this out just by having a conversation with people he'd been passing by in the hallways. Once a random student had told him about the time they'd been murdered and then later resurrected, chuckling the whole time like it was a funny incident on a Tuesday. It has caused him to suspect that they needed many more actual therapists than just to discount him.

Luckily, though, he had somehow avoided causing the tragedy of a massive breakup battle, though John had no idea how, so he kept hitting the books, hoping that if he didn't know why his method worked, he could at least keep it working. Though as he was working on his fifth practice quiz that day, he heard the ringing on his phone. "Hello, this is Mr. Doe. How can I help you?" John said, trying to sound as professional as possible, though he wasn't sure if he was succeeding.

"Hello Mr. Doe. I'm sorry to surprise you like this, but would you mind having a sudden session with Rina and another student after her? Charlia said in an apologetic voice, clearly distraught at suddenly dropping two back-to-back sessions on him. Which told John it was probably a rather important therapy session that was needed, which made him nervous, but it was his job.

"Of course not. I'm more than happy to have Rina and another patient as well. May I ask why the sudden sessions though?" John said immediately agreeing to the sessions as it was his obligation but then asking why figuring he should know what he was getting into and there was probably some situation here especially considering how eager Charlia was to see to his wants and never inconvenience him.

Charlia sighed and then spoke. "Well, you see, Mr. Doe, Rina got in a fight with another student. Now usually this wouldn't have to involve you, and we would just punish them for the fight." Charlia said her voice sounded a bit frustrated as it came through the phone.

"I can hear a but coming." John said his tone carrying a hint of suspicion as he was seeing the fact that she had called him. Which meant that there was a bit more to it than just a fight between two students. Though how it would get him involved he wasn't entirely sure but he was about to find out and he wasn't ashamed to admit his curiosity was piqued.

"The but in this situation is that the girls are related, though in a rather strange way. As you might recall, Rina is the daughter of Wolverine." Charlia stated to John, who was curious what exactly she was getting at.

"Yes, I recall that Rina's dad is Wolverine and her mother is Elektra. I believe I have her parentage correct." John says cautiously, wondering if Charlia was going to inform him of something that turned this on its head. He was wrong in this assumption, though what she told him was no less stunning.

"Yes, you got both right. You see, the problem in this instance is the girl Rina was fighting is her half-sister. A girl by the name of Kendall. She has the same father as Rina, but her mother is Storm." Charlia said in the most blunt way possible, figuring it was the best way to inform Master John.

"Alrighty then, to be honest with you, I felt that Rina's family life was complicated enough without adding more to it. But alright, half-sister, so how did that end up happening anyway? Storm, as far as I know, has never been in a relationship with Wolverine, and they don't really seem to be each other's type." John wondered how exactly Kendall has come about.

"Well, there was an incident where some aliens called the beyonders. They kidnapped a bunch of heroes and villains and then trapped them in another world. The heroes and villains end up trapped there for so long that they start families with Wolverine and Storm getting together." Charlia stated normally, which shocked John at how she made **** by aliens sound mundane.

John rubbed his head for a moment, trying to think this out. "So what if they started a family in another dimension? How did they get back here?" John asked, confused about the whole situation and wanting clarification on someone he was going to meet after his session with Rina.

"Well, apparently the kids that all the kidnapped heroes and villains had got together to see what their parents homes were like. But apparently there was some time dilation causing them to arrive before their parents were kidnapped. Which warned them, preventing the ****." Charlia said somehow keeping the weird time-dimensional stuff straight.

"Okay, wait, if they effectively stopped themselves from ever being born, how does Kendall still exist?" John asked, rubbing his head harder, feeling a migraine coming in as he now tried to make sense of time travel shenanigans. Charlia's answer to the time question shocked John.

"She just does it; it's one of those things that just works, and you don't ask too many questions about. Otherwise, you might end up wiping Kendall from existence by mistake from looking into it too much." Charlia is stating the situation bluntly once again.

"Alright then, so any other complications?" John asked in a tired voice. Clearly trying to get the entire situation but already exhausted by it at the same time. Which was a strange thing, as he hadn't even met Kendall yet and had nothing said against her personally, just her existence.

"Well, Storm is with Black Panther. So to make him happy, she pretends that Kendall doesn't exist, and Wolverine treats her just like Rina. Which is pretending she is just another student instead of his daughter." Charlia said a bit of disgust in her tone at the two's treatment of the situation.

"Alrighty then, I'll be getting ready for the sessions; wish me luck." John said a nervousness was coming through his tone of voice as he was finding the whole situation of Kendall's mere existence to be daunting, not to mention the fact he would have to untangle hers and Rina's family issues.

"Good luck, Mr. Doe. I have the utmost faith in your abilities." Charlia said in a cheerful tone of voice, to which John simply gave a nervous chuckle in response before hanging up the phone. Charlia looked at the phone for a moment before turning to her mistress. "Master is a bit nervous, but he is ready to receive them." Charlia said in a soft voice to her mistress, Phoenix.

"Good. I hope my dear master John will be pleased with the new toys I'm adding to his collection." Phonies said a dark malice in her voice as she checked over Rina, making sure she was still Daddy's little girl, before turning to a zoned-out Kendall and inserting thoughts into her subconscious, creating another seed of corruption that would bloom soon.

"Oh my dear John, how you work me. But it's not that I dislike it, as I'm working for our happiness instead of the rest of the stupid X-Men children." Phoenix commented on feeling a bit worked molding the minds of the former broken villains into the perfect dolls as well as shaping students of the academy into the perfect toys. But she had always been overworked, but it was for everyone else at the damn academy's sake instead of her own.

Now they want the case, in fact, the morons that were the X-Men are now being made to serve her and the one who brought her happiness. It caused her to cackle maliciously as she watched Rina walk out of the room unaware of the order put into her mind to not hurt John. As it was, John could go to slit her throat, and she could do nothing but think it was necessary for safety.

It wasn't necessary, but it did make her feel more at ease, which was the truly important part, Phoenix thought. Though she had rewarded Rina for being such a good daddy's girl as her skirt was no shorter. Not to mention she had to be wary of a stiff breeze as she now wasn't wearing underwear anymore. "Charlia, come here." Phoenix saw simply focusing her mental sight on John's office while Charlia was between her legs.
