Lana: To the right!

Drek: Roger that.

You walk through a long path, yet none of you encounter anything unusual. All seems quiet around you... Too quiet even... You are on your guard, but hopefully, it won't be needed again. This path was long indeed, you have been walking for some time now and the trail seems to be without end.

Drek: Ranvi, are you sure we are going the right way? This swamp didn't seem this huge before!

Ranvi: Yes Drek, I have triple checked it, just like 5 minutes earlier, when you wanted me to check it again! This is the way!

Lana: You shouldn't have skipped the leg day Drek! It could have done wonders to your endurance!

Drek: I didn't! I just hate being here with so much living around me!

Ranvi: You should enjoy it while it lasts! It is far better than being at a place like Coruscant! The Jedi temple always feels so empty without any plants or pets...

Lana: You would turn even the temple into an oasis, wouldn't you? I guess a rancor would certainly make the Jedi archives more fun to be at!

Ranvi: Joke about it all you want, but I do have a point there! If only I could find a way to have a pet in the temple...

Lana: Why don't you get one? I don't remember them being prohibited.

Drek: Positive, the rules of the temple allow you to own a pet, as long as its behavior remains within the socially accepted boundaries. Which are, given how easily Master Windu is angered, not too hard to trespass...

Ranvi: I don't have one, because the best ones are almost impossible for me to obtain...

Lana: What kind of pet would you like to have?

Ranvi: I have always wanted a Nexu!

Drek: A Nexu?!

Lana: Why would you want to keep one of them? They are deadly predators!

Nexu are a feline species, they are very agile and known for their deadliness in combat. They are very intelligent, which is used by some, to train them as arena beasts. The Petranaki Arena on Geonosis was well known for having one, which specimen died during the first battle of Geonosis.

The Nexu

Ranvi: No, they are one of the, if not the most beautiful, lovely little furry catlike creatures of the galaxy!

Drek: Yes, especially when they tear people apart and feast on the remains of the poor target!

Ranvi: The Nexu don't attack without a good reason! Any intergalactic zoologist would know that! They only become aggressive when their cubs are endangered! If they are safe, there would never be any conflict with the population!

Drek: But how an earth would you keep one as a pet?!

Ranvi: If a pup is separated from its mother in a young age before it learnt the predatory nature of the parents, it could be brought up to be a friendly little kitty cat! I have always wanted one for myself, but never had the chance to do so... neither I wanted to have a pup separated from its mother... So, I ended up without having a Nexu, only wishing I had one...

Lana: Well, I am not saying its a good idea to bring a deadly predator into the temple, but... If I see one coming my way, I might just bring it for you next time!

Drek (taking notes): To do list, number 359: find a Nexu pup...

Ranvi: Drek, what are you doing on that stuff of yours anyway? Didn't you say your sensors and equipment hadn't worked here?

Drek (lying): Yeees, I was just checking if any of them were working now, but nope, still nothing...!

Lana: I do hope we will arrive there soon... I am too growing tired of this swamp...

Ravni: It has been like 10 minutes since we have chosen this trail! I can't believe how little respect you two have for the nature! Dragging you two along for a little "green break" is like travelling through Tatooine on a Tauntaun! (Tantauns are fury creatures, adapted to icy and extremely cold weather). Remind me to never take any of you for a hike to Alderaan or a safari to Dxun...
