Things in Equestria seemed to be better than ever, no threats on the horizon, relationships between different lands and people were improving more and more each day, and the magic of friendship was strong; they thought that they had already arrived at their happily ever after, and then out of nowhere they came to take it all away, they came from the stars looking for nothing but total domination, taking every creature they could prisioner and looking to usurp every leader from their world and with how sudden and unexpected the attack was, they didn't knew how to begin to fight back.
