Rider's Thought

Rider looked down at the sleeping couple. She had been watching over them since she arrived at the Emiya household.

She wasn't sure about this Shirou at first. She knew how much Sakura loved him, but Rider did not want her to end up with someone just as bad or worse than Shinji. But that first night made it clear to Rider that Shirou was nothing like Shinji. He was a kind and caring young man, who would do what he could for Sakura. He really is the perfect master for Sakura, Rider thought.

Rider stopped herself. No, I shouldn't think like that. I don't want to try and take him away from Sakura.

That's when she remembered what Sakura said the night before, about how she wouldn't mind Shirou having other women. I wouldn't mind sharing with Sakura, Rider thought. But I should make sure she really meant that before I do anything.

Not that she knew how to pursue a relationship like that. Her first thought was to use magecraft to put Shirou in an illusion of her and Sakura throwing themselves at him. She immediately rejected that idea. So many things could go wrong with that, she thought. I doubt Shirou could reflect the illusion on me, but he and Sakura might not like it.

Rider spent the night thinking about this and whether she really wanted to be with Shirou. As morning drew close, Rider came to a conclusion.
