What do you do?
Ride the raft across the lake
You return to the shore to find no sign of the individuals who were here, leaving you plenty of space to PLAP your rickety raft into the water. This thing would fall apart in an instant in the ocean, but on a clear placid lake? It should hold together long enough.
You climb onto the raft, thankful when it doesn't immediately sink. After a few attempts at propelling yourself you settle for lying on your stomach and paddling yourself across like a boogie board.
It's all going quite well and you soon reach the halfway point of the lake. Just a little longer and you're home free.
Suddenly, you hear a laugh and a big wave hits, sending you and your raft rolling end over end. You try to hold on but quickly lose your grip as the shoddy craftsmanship comes to bear and the raft becomes nothing more than a useless collection of reeds.
You toss one ones in your hand aside in disgust. Oh well, at least it wasn't a total bust, you're close enough you can swim the rest of the way.
