Richard ends the call to go looks for some fun for himself.

The faint sound of his wife moaning from Mr. Davidson's kisses was more than he could take, so he says, "Well, it sounds like your busy, so I'll go." before hanging up, not even giving Perl a chance to respond or say goodbye.

Since he didn't give her a chance to say goodbye, Richard half expected her to call back. When she didn't, he made up his mind. Richard's 'underling' is on his way to a strip club with the owner of a company, and now, after so many years of not going, he heads out to join them.

The strip club was fun; there were five sexy girls who performed multiple routines. The CEO of the other company paid for a little unlawful fun for him and Richard's underling. He offered to pay for one for Richard as well, but Richard turned him down. He knew that he would eventually join them. He just wasn't ready yet, at least not today.
