Rich Blood

You eyes open to darkness. You dogs are curled up at the foot of the bed.

“Mistress, I have the address.”

You look at it. You walk outside and focus on getting there. You begin running. You open your eyes and you are there.

You ring the doorbell and a young man answers it. He is medium height, well built and fashionable. You look him in the eyes.

“You were expecting me, you want to invite me in.”

“Oh, sorry. Please come in.”

“Now you will forget you saw me.”

He looks puzzled. He mumbles, “forget.”

You sniff the air and smell your victim. You follow your nose, making several turns in the massive house.

You come to a bedroom door. You turn the knob and it is locked. You focus on your desire to be on the other side.

Suddenly, you feel strange. You look at your hand and it is blurry. While you can’t seem to see very well, your hearing has improved. You hear the breathing of your victim. You simply slide under and around the door.

Once inside you rapidly return to normal. You glance down at you hand, only to see a black mist coagulate into your hand.

You smile, happy with your newfound power and excited at the prospect of adding a lady to your court.

You glide over to the sleeping woman. She is in her mid forties, with black dyed hair covering her grays. Her body is unremarkable and decidedly average.

You let your fangs extend and sink them into her throat. She moans in her sleep, no doubt surprised by the pleasure of your penetration. You drink slowly, savoring the complex flavor. She begins to grow weak and you pull out.

You slit your wrist with a razor sharp black fingernail and allow your blood to dribble into her mouth. You wrist heals in moments, but the cut has done it’s job. She will bring her wealth to your court.

You turn into a mist. It is far easier the second time. You sleep out of the window into the night.

You return to Jonathon’s just before sunrise. In his bedroom is a lovely coffin, black like your lover’s.

You slip inside it. You would think the hard bottom would bother you. It doesn’t. As the lid closes, creating total darkness you feel comfortable. The sun pierces the horizon and you sleep…
