@Megan you’re literally sitting right next to me XD

Lily spent the week leading up to break working ahead in her courses so she could actually take it easy for once. With finals on the horizon it felt good not to worry about routine reading or assignments. Her writing assignment on Austin was coming together too and she was a little disappointed that she wouldn’t have an excuse to tease him anymore.

The first thing Lily did after arriving home for Thanksgiving break was catch up with her parents and sister. Soon after, it was time to reunite with Megan. They walked around downtown, sipping their pumpkin spice beverages and gossiping, catching up, and shopping. Once night was beginning to set, Lily agreed to go back to Megan’s for a Hallmark Christmas Movie marathon, which was a fall and winter tradition for the two friends. They loved making fun of the corny plots and characters.

They were cuddled up on the couch together eating snacks and half watching the TV, half making New Years plans to spend a few days at a cabin in the snow with their respective boyfriends.

“I still can’t believe that whole thing with Jake.” Megan snickered “I never took him as that kind of guy.”

“What about me?” Lily said clutching some imaginary pearls.

“Oh please! I knew you had it in you all along, it just needed to be woken up.”

“What?!” Lily was genuinely shocked.

“With how sex crazed you were after Jake finally popped your cherry? You were insatiable! And then you started actually showing that body you were given. I was honestly a little worried about you and Jake’s relationship when we left for school.” Megan explained.

Lily could only blush. Maybe the signs were there for her recent awakening all along. It should’ve been no surprise that her best friend since preschool could see her future.

“But I guess if what you say about Jake is true” Megan says holding her hands a length apart in front of her and smirking “makes sense why you wouldn’t stray completely.”

“Shut up!” Lily says coyly throwing a pillow at Megan.

“Ever think about sharing the wealth?” Megan is biting her lip.

“Absolutely not!” Lily spits “besides you have Cameron!”

“I can’t think of a better way to make our friendship closer!” Megan jokes as Lily gets up to get a drink from the kitchen “trading boys like we used to trade clothes!”

“You’re bad” Lily giggles exiting the room.

For some reason, she doesn’t find that idea totally repulsive. Obviously she thinks Cameron is pretty hunky and she wouldn’t mind taking him for a test drive, but she also didn’t hate the idea of Megan and Jake getting to know each other a little more intimately. It didn’t fill her with the same worry and insecurity as the idea of some faceless hypothetical girl sleeping with Jake, or the same jealous rage at how close Jake and “that Cassie bitch” were getting. Still, Lily had little interest in actually pursuing that. Megan was joking after all. Right?

In the kitchen she is startled by Christian, Megan’s brother. He’s grabbing a microwavable burrito out of the freezer and Lily’s stomach immediately drops wondering if he had heard the girl’s conversation, and if so— exactly how much.

“Hey Lily, good to see you!” He said cheerfully.

“Chris!! It’s been a while!” Lily gushed stepping into a warm hug.

It was a familiar hug, one you’d give a sibling— which Christian practically was at this point seeing as how close Lily and Megan had been for their entire lives.

“I’m just getting some water, I’ll be out of your hair in no time.” Lily said reaching for a glass on the top shelf.

“Oh, take your time.” He responded causing Lily to pause in her stretch towards the cups.

His words brought back a memory. The memory of Lily sitting on the floor of the shower shared by Megan and her brother, totally spent after having pleasured herself. It was the same words he uttered through the door. The only divider separating Lily’s sin from Christian’s own curious ears and wandering eyes. She had wondered that night if he heard her, if he noticed how thinking of him had brought her to an ecstasy unlike any other. The way he had looked at her in the hall that night, seeing more than he was ever meant to. It was the experience that kicked off Lily’s awakening.

She fumbled for a cup, a rosy complexion blooming over her face once more. If only he knew what kind of a girl that night created. She tried to swallow the lump in her throat as she filled the glass, the salacious thoughts of conquering her best friend’s brother taking over.

“You alright?” His voice breaking through her haze. She swore his eyes were burning a hole through her.

“Mhm” she hummed, noticing how she was twiddling with the hem of her dress and inadvertently flashing her black cotton panties beneath.

Her hand snapped away and her modesty once again preserved. If she had any left. She quickly scurried back to the living room to rejoin the unaware Megan on the couch, but her mind wandered away from the movies. Every creak of the floorboards upstairs as Christian walked around just made Lily even more hyperaware of the condition he had put her in. And he has no idea…

A notification popped up on her phone.
