A sense of dread washes over me. Where could this possibly be going?

“I bring it up because Ari wasn’t good at hiding the details.”
I give him a blank, confused look.
Suddenly, it clicks. If he knows about Max and Ari and me and Ari... He knows about Vi and Max.

He nods. “I don’t mind if you have fun with Ari, obviously.” He grins. “You couldn’t steal her away even if you tried.”
